Ever since we have been downloading apps from the App Store; our only complaint has been that the App Store doesn’t let you download apps over 200 MB through your cellular data. It would bother me whenever I was not able to download an app on the go, because of this restriction, I mean not all of us are connected to Wi-Fi at all times.
Thanks, to the latest iOS 13 update which has made this an optional restriction causing me to fall in love with apple even more if that was possible.
With the help of the following steps, you could easily disable the download restriction and you can able to download App Store apps over 200MB via cellular networks on your iPhone.
How to Download Apps Larger than 200MB Without WiFi on iPhone running iOS 13
PLEASE NOTE: Firstly make sure that you have updated your iPhone with the latest iOS 13 if not, then I would recommend to check it out our detailed iOS 13 installation guide.
Step #1. Open Settings app on your iPhone.

Step #2. Scroll down, and tap on iTunes and App Store.
Step #3. Now, tap on App Downloads.
Here you can see three options:
- Always Allow: This option will download all the apps automatically using cellular data. When roaming, permission to download is always required.
- Ask If Over 200 MB: It will notify and ask you for permission to download apps over 200 MB.
- Ask First: And, it will always ask for permission to download apps, irrespective of their size.
You can select any one option which you wish and enjoy the downloading app over 200 MB without a WiFi network on your iOS device.
If your device is running iOS 12, you can download apps up to 200 MB using cellular data on your iOS device. Though not definitive, there is a trick to bypass this restriction.

How To Download A Game Without Wifi Network
Step #1. First off, open App Store and head over to the app you wish to download. Then, tap on GET button. Next, confirm using your Face ID, Touch ID or password.
Step #2. Now, you will receive a notification saying “Connect to a Wi-Fi network to download [App name]” Don’t worry, tap on OK. Now, go the Home screen.
Step #3. The app icon should appear on your home screen until you connect to Wi-Fi.
Step #4. Next, launch Settings app → Tap on General.
Step #5. Select Date & Time.
Step #6. Next up, turn off the switch next to Set Automatically.

Step #7. Now, tap the Date and then move it 1-2 days forward.
That’s done!
Now, you have to wait for a few moments for the download to get started. Next, let the download process be completed successfully. Once it’s done, launch the app and start using it as usual.
After you have downloaded the app, go back to the Settings → General → Date & Time and then turn on the switch next to Set Automatically.
